No apple pay and no automatic recognition of credit card

The app is nice and easy but would be great to have two preferred credit card (one business and one personal) and/or have apple pay as payment method. Also the credit card form is not recognised as such so you cannot use the stored cards on iphone. You have to input manually

Software bugs

If the card payment is not accepted on the first try, e.g. because of a security check, and then we try to book the same route, same name, your app says we already booked that ticket and won’t let us book it

Get economy NOT business class

Visiting Italy I was so excited to ride the high speed train & get all the perks listed for business or “premier” class. It was a waste of money, unfortunately. I got 1 snack & 1 tiny cup of black coffee w/ no sugar or creamer offered. After that the lady that served us disappeared the rest of the ride. The bathrooms were a bit dirty. There was trash (cups) on the seats from the previous train ride. & last but not least there wasn’t any WiFi! I didn’t have a SIM card or phone number (I was a tourist) & Italo would not allow me access to the WiFi. The entire experience was pretty disappointing.

Delay compensation cannot be claimed through app

Don’t waste your time and money on Italo! Use trenitalia instead. One of my Italo trains were delayed for 3 hours. I was hoping to file a claim for delay compensation, but the process is confusing, lengthy, and cannot be done on the app. It was so easy with Trenitalia! I will not use Italo again next time I visit Italy.

Unable to create a new profile

Trying to set up a new profile. It keeps telling me that a profile is already created with the email on file but when I try to use forgot password, it says email invalid.

Why can’t I see the platform of the train?

This is a very basic information. I assume its the column named “track”, which is always empty.

Sends promotional notifications

This app is sends promotional notifications and doesn’t accept Apple Pay.

Graci Italo!

Even though I may not use Italo very often I’m glad I downloaded the Italo app and signed up for Più. They regularly send promotional codes that saved me a great deal on my vacation travel. One minor issue I found: when adding a booked ticket to the Wallet app I can’t add two different tickets with different seat assignments when the first initial and last name are the same. Anche se non posso usare Italo molto spesso, sono contento di aver scaricato l'app Italo e di essermi iscritto a Più. Inviano regolarmente codici promozionali che mi hanno salvato molto durante i miei viaggi di vacanza. Un problema minore che ho trovato: quando aggiungo un biglietto prenotato all'app Wallet non posso aggiungere due biglietti diversi con assegnazioni di posti diverse quando il primo nome iniziale e il cognome sono gli stessi.

Has some serious bugs

I booked 5 passengers on Italo from Milano Centrale to Roma Termini. However, two of us have the same name. I First used the short version of my first name to tell us apart. But, there is no way to download the tickets to Apple Wallet because it just lists first initial and last name. So, paper tickets? Really? We have different seats reserved; and the program can’t determine its two different passengers. Also, no online support on website. Calling from the USA would be too expensive.

Is it so hard for the ticket you bought appear on my ticket?

Free internet? NO

Tried to connect for my entire ride from Naples to Rome. Connecting to WiFi was easy. But there’s no internet. It like their WiFi router is working but the modem isn’t. Terrible experience, waste of time and couldn’t do the work I was planning to do on the train. Don’t give a crap about the app. Just downloaded to see if it would help me get to the internet- answer is nope.

Still not able to add to apple wallet

Thanks for trying to fix it after I posted a review. However, it is still not able to add ticket to wallet. After clicking the button, it prompts “it was not possible to generate Wallet pass, we invite you to try again. “

Their trains are so much better than their apps.

Doesn’t Allow Registration for Non-Italy Users

I thought the App would be a good place to have additional copies of the itinerary and Ticket Code. But it doesn’t allow for addresses outside of Italy.

Needs Improvement

What good is the app if I cannot search for my ticket by the ticket code. There is a serious lack of functionality and the gap between the website and the app is still too far for this to be considered anything but a beta version. Much is to be desired.

App doesn’t allow seat selection

Be careful! When purchasing tickets on the app it will automatically assign seats for you instead of having the option to choose like when you book through the website. This was very frustrating since changing seats is impossible to manage online unless you call their customer service line or go to the ticket booth at the station. Otherwise the app is fine. Please just allow us to choose our seats!

Can’t even find my reservation. Says not located. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Italo....allocate more budget to develop a better app!

i menu’ a scorrimento sono perdi tempo e non ci sono opzioni per le stazioni preferite. il biglietto va in archivio appena il treno parte e se non guardi prima in che posto sei... tanti auguri! l’opzione per registrare una carta di credito rimane tabu’😱. forse va registrata dal sito... ancora più tabu’. una volta inserito il codice sconto, quale sconto mi e’ stato applicato, rispetto al prezzo che mi compare? ...mah, qui ci vedo poca trasparenza treno e servizi sono grandiosi ma l’applicazione ha tanto margine per migliorare

This app can only buy tickets. Other functions never work only errors or session expired.

Intuitive UI, easy to use. Use it often for schedules and booking when traveling from Venice to Rome.
